Create an AI-Native People Team

A practical framework for adopting AI across the talent lifecycle, built for people teams and designed to hold up as the tools keep changing.

Formats offered

  • In-person or virtual workshop

  • In-person or virtual keynote

  • Self-paced in Surface Learning

The people function is being reshaped by AI faster than almost any other part of the business. Recruiting, performance, engagement, learning, and workforce planning are being rebuilt around capabilities that did not exist two years ago. Most people teams were never trained for this shift. This workshop prepares your team to lead it. Participants learn where AI creates real leverage across the talent lifecycle, where human judgment stays essential, and how to build AI fluency into everyday work. The teams that move first will define what the function becomes, and they set the tone for how the rest of the organization experiences the change. Participants will leave with a practical framework for adopting AI with confidence and care, even as the tools keep changing.

Training Includes:

  • Research

  • Self Asessment

  • Discussions

  • Hands-On Activities

  • Action Planning

High-Level Outline

Introduction

Explore how AI is reshaping the people function, from recruiting and performance to engagement, learning, and workforce planning. Invite reflection on where AI is already showing up in participants’ own work, and where it is not yet.

Where AI Fits: Judgment vs. Context

Map the talent lifecycle against what AI does well and where human judgment stays essential. Draw the distinction between the expertise a practitioner carries across hundreds of situations and the organizational context only people can supply. Ground the conversation in real examples across hiring, development, and day-to-day decisions.

Action Planning: identify two tasks in your own work where AI could create leverage this quarter, and one where human judgment must stay in the lead.

Your HR Tech Stack and Responsible AI Implementation

Look at the tools already in place and where AI belongs across them. Draw the line between systems of record and systems of intelligence, and where the two connect. Cover what to look for when evaluating AI capabilities, how to protect employee data, and how to set guardrails so AI supports decisions without making them unaccountable.

Action Planning: map your current stack and identify one gap where AI could add real value, along with the guardrails it would require.

Leading and Communicating Through Change

The people team sets the tone for how the rest of the organization experiences AI. Explore how to communicate about adoption in a way that builds trust rather than fear. Cover naming what is changing and what is not, modeling learning openly, and giving people a clear reason to engage. Connect these habits to the growth mindset behaviors that carry teams through uncertainty.

Action Planning: draft the core message you would use to introduce an AI change to your organization, and identify who needs to hear it first.
